In a rare act of charity, British sales [[link]] outfit ChartTrack have teamed up with retailer GAME to provide total lifetime sales figures (ie all sales, not just GAME sales) for this generation of hardware.
And GUESS WHAT? The Wii is on top. Followed by the 360. Followed by the PS3. Shocking, surprising, the works, we know, we know. The figures, as of January 3 [[link]] 2009, are:
Wii – 4.9 million
360 – 3.2 million
PS3 – 1.9 [[link]] million
Also provided were handheld sales figures.
DS – 8.8 million
PSP – 3.2 million
